Celebrating Art, Culture, and Philanthropy at Mandarin Oriental's Grand Opening

Mandarin Oriental Qianmen, Beijing, marked its grand opening with a star-studded gala attended by over 130 distinguished guests, including VIPs and dignitaries. The highlight of the evening was an intimate, exclusive performance by Yuja Wang, the Beijing-born piano virtuoso and the latest celebrity to join Mandarin Oriental’s acclaimed "I'm a Fan" campaign. Mandarin Oriental’s celebrity fans, including Chen Kun, Karen Mok, and Vivienne Tam. Renowned Chinese artist Xu Bing, the creator of the hotel’s iconic signature fan, was also present, adding an artistic touch to the occasion.
Yuja Wang delivered a captivating performance at the newest Mandarin Oriental venue, enhanced by a variety of dining choices featuring wines and cocktails. The acclaimed Michelin-starred consultant and culinary specialist, Chef Fei, teamed up with the hotel's head Chef Ping to present guests with delectable canapés highlighting Beijing's local flavors and culinary methods, alongside premium champagnes and wines expertly crafted by the talented bartenders of the renowned TIAO Bar at the hotel.

Yuja Wang has chosen to support The Curtis Institute of Music, a charity that offers financial and educational assistance to aspiring young musicians.
The gala marked an important occasion for Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, representing the opening of its 10th hotel in Greater China and its 41st globally, reaffirming its continued, thoughtful expansion in key markets.
